Barcelona secured the La Liga title on the final day of the season as a Luis Suarez hat-trick secured a 3-0 win over Granada.
Luis Enrique's side were dominant in the first period with Gerard Pique coming close but Suarez continued his scintillating form as his brace proved to be the difference at the break.
They continued to dominate with Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar having good opportunities but couldn't add to the score line until Suarez secured the three points and the title with five minutes to go.
One hand on the trophy
The league title in Spain was going to go down right to the wire with Barcelona knowing that only a win would be enough to fend off bitter rivals Real Madrid.
They got off to a flying start when Javier Mascherano flicked the free kick from Ivan Rakitic into Pique, but his header from six yards was superbly saved by Andreas.
It didn't take too long for them to find their feet and goal scoring prowess though as they took the lead in the 21st minute. It was simple enough for the Catalan side as Neymar produced a great ball for full-back Jordi Alba who made the late run and he simply placed it across the face of goal for Suarez, who tapped home with ease.
The Uruguayan was looking to break the dynasty of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo at the top of the La Liga scoring chart and was well on course to do so as he added his second eight minutes before the break.
It was a goal made in South America as Mascherano produced an excellent ball over-the-top looking for Alves, who did well on the stretch to cut the ball back into the area and find Suarez who headed home.
Looking for the killer blow
Barcelona continued their dominance into the second period as they looked for the all-important third goal to confirm their title victory. Suarez was inches away from doing that as he looked to get on the end of Alves' ball into the area, but just missed the delivery.
It was then the turn of Messi who looked to try to score from a free kick from distance, but Andreas did well to palm away the effort which looked destined to nestle in the top corner.
Granada offered a little scare for Enrique's side as Youssef El Arabi puts Fran Rico in on goal who should have done better with his effort, but takes nothing away from Marc-Andre ter Stegen who produced an excellent save.
It was the battle of the 'keepers as Andreas was at it again at the other end, doing well to keep out fellow Brazilian Neymar, who Alves looked to find only for his low effort to be well saved.
Perfect end
It looked likely that the title would be heading back to Catalonia and that was secured with five minutes to play with the third and final goal.
The famous 'MSN' are the main reason behind Barcelona's success this season and were at it again with their 90th collective goal. The ball was played through to Neymar, who could have taken the shot on himself, but the Brazilian unselfishly laid it on a plate for Suarez, arriving on his right, to tap into an empty net for his fifth hat-trick and 40th goal of a stellar campaign.
