Inter Milan have instated Frank De Boer as their new manager the club have confirmed through their club snapchat account.

The snap shows a waistcoat wearing De Boer, speaking in English saying "Hello Inter fans, I'm very happy to be here, hope to see you soon."

Reports first broke last night that Roberto Mancini was set to be sacked and De Boer's name almost instantly become the favourite amongst Italian media to take on the Inter job.

The 46-year-old comes in just hours after Mancini and the club parted ways by mutual consent and his official unveiling to the press is expected tomorrow. Furthermore, his first chance in the dugout comes against Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday in the nerazzurri's penultimate friendly.

He landed in Milan this evening and was quoted as saying "I hope we'll get a lot of success together" as he rushed through the crowd of supporters and journalists.

Trophy laden managerial career

Compared to the man he is taking over from, De Boer is inexperienced, with only one managerial job to his name, however said job did last six years.

In his six year spell with Ajax, the former Barcelona player added four Eredivisie titles to the Amsterdam Arena club' trophy cabinet alongside another Johan Cruijff Schaal.

Another manager tasked with returning Inter to former glories

De Boer is the eighth manager to come in since Inter's historical triplete in 2010 and follows in the footsteps of Rafa Benitez and Claudio Ranieri of trying to repeat the feat and bring glory back to Inter.
