And with that, we're done for the night. The group stages for these finals have concluded, on a dramatic, thrilling night for the Republic of Ireland. I've been Oliver Emmerson, and until next time, goodnight.

Hungary - Belgium

Germany - Slovakia

England - Iceland

Croatia - Portugal

France - Republic of Ireland

Italy - Spain

Wales - Northern Ireland

Switzerland - Poland

Belgium beat Sweden 1-0 thanks to Nainggolan's strike, so the last 16 lineup is as follows...

So, Italy were already through, we knew that. They're playing Spain on Monday in the first last 16 fixture, whilst Ireland will play France! They'll get the chance for revenge of the heartbreak in qualification for the 2010 World Cup.

That's it! Martin O'Neill's men are through to the last 16 thanks to Brady's last goal, and the noise coming from the Ireland end is superb. They've beaten Italy 1-0, ended the run of the tournament's only team with a 100% record, and the dancing in Dublin will go on long into the night!

FULL-TIME: ITALY 0-1 REPUBLIC OF IRELAND, THEY'RE THROUGH!

90+2: Ireland have survived two minutes of injury time, 60 seconds longer and the Boys in Green are through.

90: Stephen Quinn on for Shane Long, Belgium now lead against Sweden so Ireland just need to hold on for place in the last 16. THREE MINUTES of added time!

85: Hoolahan makes up for the miss with a fantastic delivery into the box, Sirigu comes to claim but can't get there, and Brady heads into the back of the net!!! Italy 0-1 Republic of Ireland, they're going through as it stands!

GOALLLLL! SCRATCH THAT, ROBBIE BRADY HEADS IN FOR THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND!!!

84: Wow, just wow. Wes Hoolahan has missed the chance of the night, put through but he hits it straight at the 'keeper!

83: Ireland need a goal, and without much surprise, they're turning to Robbie Keane.

79: With both Group E games 0-0 as it stands, spare a thought for Turkey fans, who know their team will go through to the last 16, bar a winner for Sweden or Ireland.

77: Off the post, for Italy! Insigne drifts inside before curling one, low off the woodwork.

77: The change that Ireland fans wanted, Hoolahan on. It's an attacking change, McCarthy off.

74: McGeady looking to make an impact with a shimmy and a shake (a stepover) on the edge of the area, but he blazes over on his left foot. Italy with two changes, Insigne on for Immobile.

70: Change for Ireland as they look to get some more pace on the pitch, Daryl Murphy off for Aiden McGeady. Can he make the difference for them? We shall see, as McClean lashes a half-volley over.

65: Ireland pressing high up the pitch, Duffy shoots from around 30 yards out but it's wide.

57: Oooh! A carless pass from Barzagli in the Italy area is latched onto by Seamus Coleman, his first time effort blocked by Ogbonna.

54: Free-kick in a good position for Ireland to cross, but Hendrick swings it out of play.

52: De Sciglio finds room on the left, in the first real highlight of the half, crossing for Zaza who swivels and strikes on the volley, the ball flying just over.

45: Back underway, kick-off in the second half!

Elsewhere in the group, it's Sweden 0-0 Belgium at half-time. For us, it's on with the football between Italy and Ireland.

So, first half analysis? Well, Ireland have certainly been the better team, and could have been ahead had it been for some different decisions by the referee. Antonio Conte won't be happy, despite the fact that his team are already through, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see an improvement in Italy's performance for the second half.

Half-time: Italy 0-0 Republic of Ireland

45: One minute of additional time, Conte might have some strong words for his players at the break. O'Neill might have some for the referee.

44: Huge penalty shout for Ireland! McClean gets bundled over by Bernadeschi in the box as he's about to shoot, but nothing is given.

43: There's a shot from Italy! Immobile has a go, just wide from range.

42: Not a single shot from Italy so far. Three for Ireland, just the one on target.

39: Long really is putting himself about tonight, yellow cards for both him and Sirigu after a brief altercation. Long screamed something at the 'keeper, who gave him a shove in response.

38: Great stuff from McClean, who wins the ball in a deep area before beating two men and being brought down by Barzagli. Dangerous area for the free-kick, can Ireland profit?

35: 61% possession for Ireland in the last 15, impressive stuff against a much fancied Italian side. Still, they do say that the Azzuri are better without the ball.

28: Duffy plays a careless back to Randolph, and he can't prevent conceding a corner. Untidy from Ireland, but they clear successfully.

25: Zaza looks to get on the end of a crisp pass through from midfield, but Randolph is out expertly to take the ball.

21: What a save! Murphy jumps highest from Brady's corner, forcing Sirigu to tip the ball over the bar with a good header.

20: Shane Long getting nowhere so far, a little push and pull with Ogbonna which in turn sees him get a word from the referee. Ireland are spending most of their time in the Italy half, a good sign.

9: Close! Jeff Hendrick takes a bobbling ball down well, thundering a powerful left-footed effort just wide of the goal. Wow, it looked like it was going in.

4: Ireland looking positive early on, looking to get in-behind the Italian defence, but it's like attacking a brickwall. Hopefully for them, they've brought their sledgehammer.

0: Underway!

National anthems being sung, Italy's is perfect as ever. Nice try for Ireland, but they need to win the football match, not the singing.

The two teams are in the tunnel lining up, a huge night for Ireland. Win and they're through, anything else and they're out.

Wholesale Italian changes, but Martin O'Neill has certainly changed things around for Ireland, with many fans unhappy that Wes Hoolahan isn't in the team.

Ireland XI: Randolph, Coleman, Duffy, Keogh, Ward, Hendrick, McClean, McCarthy, Brady, Murphy, Long.

Italy XI: Sirigu, Barzagli, Bonucci, Ogbonna, Bernadeschi, Sturaro, Motta, Florenzi, De Sciglio, Zaza, Immobile.

Team news is in, four Ireland changes and eight Italy changes.

These two did meet eachother at the last European Championship back in 2012, drawn in the same group just like this year. Italy triumphed that time, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Antonio Cassano and Mario Balotelli, who had a fine tournament as the Azzuri reached the final.

Ireland are hoping to have Jon Walters fit, with their key forward still looking to play his first minutes of these finals, having been included in the squad despite an achilles injury.

There might be some forced changes for Conte, as Gianluigi Buffon is battling a fever, meaning Salvatore Sirigu could step into the goalkeeping spot. Antonio Candreva is also racing a fit to play, having sustained an abductor injury against Sweden.

So, what do those results mean for the two teams going into tonight? Handily for Italy, they've already topped the group. Belgium are the only side who can reach their number of points, and Conte's men hold the head-to-head advantage. With this in mind, they're likely to rest some key men, which could play into Ireland's hands as they need a win. Ireland are hoping to go through as one of the best third placed teams, but it's extremely unlikely that they could do that without a win.

Ireland only have one point, which was taken in their first game after a 1-1 draw against Sweden. They led that game thanks to Wes Hoolahan's goal, but were unable to secure the win due to a Ciaran Clark own goal. The follow up game against Belgium was extremely disappointing, Romelu Lukaku allowed to bag a brace as the Red Devils won 3-0.

So, as Italy have six points from two games, it isn't hard to conclude that they've won each fixture so far. Most impressively, against Belgium and Sweden, two good teams. Beating Belgium 2-0 in their first game was a shock to everyone, as Antonio Conte's men demonstrated a perfect defensive performance, counter-attacking with destruction. After that, they were expected to beat a Sweden side parking the bus, something they did thanks to Eder's late goal.

Let's have a look at the current state of play in the group. Italy are top with six points, and are into the last 16. In second you find Belgium on three points, whilst Sweden and Ireland are lodged in third and fourth respectively, each having taken one point from their first two games.

So, with this game going on, and Sweden vs Belgium also taking place at the same time, Group E is concluding. And with that, so is the group stage of this year's competition, so we'll know the full last 16 lineup by the end of the evening. How exciting!
