With games in the Damallsvenskan coming in thick and fast - as all teams play three times in 10 days - the top tier in Sweden is beginning to take shape.

There was drama right to the death on matchday 15, as FC Rosengård claimed a crucial win to keep themselves top of the pile.

It is very much as you were across the table, though the battle for relegation is so finely poised that a run of results could see any one of six teams dragged into the dogfight.

Kristianstads and Örebro can't be separated

The first game of the day brought together two teams embroiled in the aforementioned battle at the wrong end of the table, as Kristianstads and Örebro went head-to-head. It was a strong start from the hosts that caught Örebro off guard, and resulted in them taking a quick 2-0 lead through Jenni Danielsson and Johanna Rasmussen.

That joy would be short-lived though, and the visitors came back into things just before the break with Julia Spetsmark's goal. The break didn't help Kristianstads one bit and less than 60 seconds after the restart, the returning Melissa Tancredi scored the equaliser. The 25-minute blitz brought the only four goals of the game, and a point each.

It was a result that took the respective teams three and six points clear of the drop zone and, due to their better goal differences, gave them some breathing space.

Djurgårdens stroll to easy win over Mallbackens

Mallbackens' search for a win didn't get any easier on Wednesday evening, with Djurgårdens dispatching their hosts with consummate ease. It took half an hour before the side from Stockholm took the lead, with Hanna Lundqvist grabbing the crucial opening goal on 32 minutes.

The home team were kept at bay by goals at regular intervals as Johanna Rytting-Kaneryd and Madeleine Stegius secured the three points. Djurgårdens are now unbeaten in their last four games, including that draw with Rosengård, and look well placed to challenge for third. Mallbackens' quest to avoid the drop didn't get any easier, though.

Piteå edge out Vittsjö

Speaking of the tussle for 'best of the rest' behind the top two, Piteå took a big step to hauling in Eskilstuna with a hard-fought win over VittsjöElin Bragnum and Felicia Karlsson struck 13 minutes after the second half to put their side in full control, following a first-half that both teams couldn't quite find the killer ball in.

There were a few nervy moments towards the end as Vittsjö did their utmost to force a way back into the game. That finally came through Anna Hjälmqvist but the 94th minute strike proved too little, too late. Piteå are now just a point from third, while Vittsjö's joy from their weekend win has quickly slipped away.

Rosengård steal the spoils at the death against Kopparbergs/Göteborg

The top teams normally find a way to get the win they need, though Rosengård will be hoping they don't leave it so late next time. Marta sent the league leaders into the break with a first half advantage from the spot, in what was the only goal in a very tightly contest opening 45 minutes.

There was plenty of back and forth after that and it looked like the single goal would seal it, until Elin Landström equalised with just 10 minutes left on the clock. Kopparbergs/Göteborg looked like they were going to hold on but Lotta Schelin - who else - found a winner in added time to keep their seat at the top of the table.

Linköpings continue to march on at Umeå

While Rosengård squeezed over the line, there were no such troubles for their title rivals. Linköpings confidently dispatched bottom of the table Umeå, in what was a stroll from start to finish. Stina Blackstenius opened the scoring midway early in the first-half, and they didn't look back after that.

Renee Slegers added a second 10 minutes later but they had to wait until the second period before adding to the scoreline. A brace from Pernille Harder continued her unbelievable season, with her 16th and 17th goals of the season keeping Linköpings within a point of Rosengård. On the other hand, it's another big defeat Umeå didn't need.

Level-pegging between Kvarnsvedens and Eskilstuna United

Last, but not least, was a surprise result between two teams at contrasting ends of the table. Kvarnsvedens has won just one of their last four games coming into this match but took a shock lead when Meghan Toohey gave the relegation-threatened side the advantage going into the break.

Mimmi Larsson's goal almost straight after the restart looked to have given Eskilstuna United the shot in the arm they needed, though they were thwarted by a home side that were just as desperate for points as they were. Both teams pulled further clear of relegation and fourth place, respectively.
