UEFA have confirmed that England have mathematically qualified for Euro 2017 after their recent double win over Serbia.
At the moment, the qualified teams are as follows: Netherlands (hosts), Germany (holders), England, France, Norway, Spain, Switzerland.
There are many teams that are confirmed for at least the play-off round, which includes Iceland, Scotland, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Belgium and Austria.
Northern Ireland can still qualify but Republic of Ireland are out of contention.
Road to the Netherlands
The Lionesses started their qualifying campaign with an 8-0 thrashing of Estonia. They followed up with a tight 1-0 win over a defensive Bosnia & Herzegovina side. This was the first match at home for England since their amazing run at the World Cup where they came home with the bronze medal, and became technically the best in Europe.
Belgium were next, their toughest opponent. They drew 1-1 with the Red Devils as Jill Scott rescued a point for the Lionesses. They went away to Bosnia & Herzegovina and got yet another 1-0 win. Karen Carney scored the crucial goal a few minutes from full time.
She was in fine goal scoring form at the home fixture against Serbia with a hat trick in the home leg. Debutants Rachel Daly and Nikita Parris both got goals in the double header and Gemma Davison finally got her first goals of her England career.
What next?
There are two qualifiers left in September. The Lionesses will face Estonia at home then travel to Belgium, where they will be hoping to finish top of the group.
With qualification secured, Mark Sampson can afford to experiment a bit more with the team and start thinking about who he will take to the Euros next year.
England are favourites heading into this and the SheBelieves Cup next year may indicate how the Euros will go, as they will play against France and Germany.
