Memphis creates an own goal for United

United didn't take long to respond and got a goal back when Memphis Depay skinned his marker and kept running to the byline and crossed it into a dangerous area where the Midtjylland defender Bodurov turned the ball into his own net.

Morgan Schneiderlin was next to go extremely close for the home side when his acrobatic effort just went wide of the Midtjylland goal. The United fans started to get behind the players to try and spur them on as the needed more goals to get back into the tie.

The first half ended much better for United than it started who should have been in front, but Mata missed the chance from he penalty. Sisto gave Midtjylland the lead before an own goal brought United straight back into the game.

United began the second half on the front foot and once again Schneiderlin had a big chance to give United the lead, but instead of hitting the ball in the net he played it across goal. Herrera then a couple of minutes later should have scored for United when Memphis crossed the ball to the midfielder, but he headed it over.

Rashford scores two on his full debut
