Liverpool Ladies have completed the signing of Sweden forward Emma Lundh from reigning Norwegian champions Lillestrom SK for an undisclosed fee and on an undisclosed contract.

Lundh played in the boys' youth teams at IFK Viksjö and has since spent all her playing career in various Swedish clubs like Tyresö FF, AIK, Djurgårdens IF and Linköpings before moving to Norway in August 2015 to play her trade with LSK, where she won the Toppserien League and Norwegian Women’s Cup.

Lundh has earned 11 caps for her country, scoring two goals in the process, and was also part of Pia Sundhage's team for the FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada last year - joining Liverpool with plenty of experience.

Reds boss Rogers delighted to bring Lundh in

Speaking to the club's official website, the 26-year-old said she was "delighted" to sign for the Reds and was "looking forward" to playing with her new teammates and under manager Scott Rogers, adding that she's confident they can have "a successful season" together.

The manager himself had words of praise for his new signing too, saying that Lundh is "another exciting acquisition for the club" and a "top-class Swedish international" who can "prove her undoubted quality in the WSL."

He added that the Reds' new signing is "a hard-working striker" who will offer them "a real goal threat" and explained that he's "delighted to have signed her ahead of the 2016 season."

Lundh joins new signings Sophie Ingle, Caroline WeirLaura Coombs (loan) and Siobhan Chamberlain as Liverpool, who won the league in 2013 and 2014, look to rebuild following a disappointing season which saw them finished seventh and one place above the drop zone.

Manager Rogers will undoubtedly be looking to avoid another low finish, especially after a window which saw key players like Fara Williams, Libby Stout and Natasha Dowie leave for pastures anew.
