16:30 - Hi everyone and welcome to VAVEL's coverage of Arsenal and Chelsea

That continued last season, as a single goal from Diego Costa gave them the 1-0 victory, with Wenger looking to be a similar result this time around.

The Blues prove to be the Gunner's sticking point every campaign, with Arsenal failing to defeat their city rivals in nine matches, failing to score in their last six.

Wenger is expected to take his best squad to the Bridge, having made 11 changes for the midweek victory. Oliver Giroud will face a late fitness test with a toe injury with long-term absentees Aaron Ramsey, Per Mertesacker,Danny Welbeck and Carl Jenkinson all out.

Conte's biggest absentee will still be captain John Terry, who is still recovering from an ankle injury during their draw with Swansea City, despite hope he may recover in time. Despite that, the Italian should have a fully fit squad at his disposal.

The Blues traveled to the Kingpower Stadium expecting a tough game from league champions Leicester City, and got that with a brace from Shinji Okazaki in the first half before Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta got then back into the game. The match couldn't be decided in normal time, but quick fire extra-time goals from Cesc Fabregas saw them through.

However their form took a slight dip after the return from the international break, with a draw against Swansea City, and a narrow 2-1 Friday night defeat to Liverpool, but managed to get back on track midweek in the EFL Cup.

It was a good start to life for the Italian, winning their first four matches in both league and cup, defeating West Ham, Watford, Bristol Rovers and Burnley respectively.

The clash at  the Emirates Stadium expected to be one of the biggest games of the season so far, with Antonio Conte looking to avoid a third match without a win in the league since 2012 during his Juventus days.

It proved to be Lucas Perez's night on his debut for the Gunners, grabbing a brace while goals from Granit Xhaka and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain gave them the 4-0 victory.

Wenger's side looked to follow up their convincing win over Hull City, with passage into the fourth round of the EFL Cup when they traveled to take Nottingham Forest, and proved to be another easy win.

After their below average start to the campaign, Arsenal have picked up the pace in recent weeks, remaining unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions.

It has been a week of celebrations for the Gunners, with this week marking 20 years since manager Arsene Wenger joined the club, and will be looking to mark the occasion with a win over one of his biggest rivals.
